The Main tab of the AM Asset Browser form contains the following fields and options:
The fields on the tab are as follows (mandatory fields are notated with a red asterisk *):
- Name: This field will display the name of the Browser Enquiry and cannot be changed.
- Description: This field will include the description of the Browser Enquiry and can be changed if required.
Please note: where the Browser Enquiry has just been created using the Copy facility, as detailed in the Creating Browser Enquiries section, the description will be the same as the one it was copied from and will need to be changed.
- Primary Filter: The option selected in this drop-down field will define the initial selection of Assets subject to the criteria added to the Filter tab in the Grid at the bottom of the form. The options provided are further detailed in the Primary Filter Options section.
- Drill Field: The option selected in this drop-down field will define how the numeric values of the Assets will be summarised on the Browser Enquiry results as well as the drilling down levels. The options provided are further detailed in the Drill Field Options section.
- Asset Book: This drop-down field will normally contain the Main Book - where other Asset Books have been created, as detailed in the Book Definition section, one of these may be included in this field instead. Only Assets with the Asset Book defined in this field will be included in the results when the Browser Enquiry is run.
- Report In: The option selected in this drop-down field will define the currency in which the values of the Assets are displayed in on the results when the Browser Enquiry is run.
The options are:
- Input Currency: Where this option is selected the value of the Asset will be displayed as the currency of the Asset as specified in its Asset Type. For most users this will be GBP. Asset Types are further detailed in the Asset Types section.
- B1 Currency: Where this option is selected the value of the Asset will be displayed in the B1 currency, which for most users will be GBP.
- B2 Currency: Where this option is selected the value of the Asset will be displayed in the B2 currency, which will only be used if the module has the dual base currency option set.
- Create Copy of Enquiry: Selecting this option will allow you to copy the details of the Browser Enquiry into a new Browser Enquiry, as detailed in the Creating Browser Enquiries section
Three tabs are displayed on the Grid at the bottom of the form. These are:
The other buttons at the bottom of the form are as follows:
: Click on this button to save changes made to the form or to any of the tabs in the Grid at the bottom of the form.
: Click on the button to delete the Browser Enquiry. A message will be displayed asking for confirmation that it is to be deleted. Once confirmed the Enquiry will be deleted.
: Clicking on this button will return you to the original version of the AM Asset Browser form where you can create a new Browser Enquiry or search for one.
: Clicking on this button will allow to to add a new Line to the Text Columns tab.
: Clicking on this button will allow to to add a new Line to the Filters tab.
: Clicking on this button will allow to to add a new Line to the Numeric Columns tab.
: Click on the button and the Browser Enquiry will run taking into account the details on the form and on the tabs. A Browser Results screen will be displayed, which is further detailed in the Asset Browser Results section.
