Asset Browser Results

Clicking on the  button will run the Asset Browser Enquiry and the Asset Enquiry (Browser Results) form will open.

The details included in the results will depend on the options added to the form as well as the details on the tabs in the Grid at the bottom of the form.

These are:

• Where the No Drill Down option is selected in the Drill Field field, as detailed in the Drill Field Options section, and the Text Columns tab includes the Asset Code field, the screen will show one row for each Asset.

A link will also be available in the Asset Code column on the screen:

Clicking on this link will open the Asset on the AM Asset Maintenance form, allowing you to view or make changes to the Asset.  This form is further detailed in the Amending Assets section.

• Where the No Drill Down option is selected in the Drill Field field, as detailed in the Drill Field Options section, and the Text Columns tab does not includes the Asset Code field, a row will be displayed for each unique value and the rows will be sorted in the order of the fields added in the Text Columns tab.

For example where the Text Columns tab includes the Department Name and then the Section Name fields, the results will be as follows:

Where it includes the Section Name and then the Department Name fields, the results will be as follows:

• Where any other option other than the No Drill Down option is selected in the Drill Field field, as detailed in the Drill Field Options section, the fields in the Text Columns tab will be ignored and the results will drill down to the options selected in the Drill Field:

Clicking on the plus sign (+) to the left of the displayed Line:

Will allow you to expand the hierarchy to the next level:

The hierarchy can continue to be expanded by clicking on the plus signs for each new Level displayed.  Once all Levels are displayed N/A will be shown on the Line instead of plus signs.

In all the above examples. right clicking on a row on the Asset Enquiry (Browser Results) screen will display the following options:

These options are details below:

• : Clicking on this option will open a window displaying all the Asset Codes included in that row:

This is useful when the Asset Code is not displayed on the results.

Clicking on the link in the Asset Code column in this window:

Will open the selected Asset on the AM Asset Maintenance form, allowing you to view or make changes to the Asset.  This form is further detailed in the Amending Assets section.

• : Clicking on this option will open a window displaying all the Asset Codes included in that row together with any Child Assets:
