When FinancialsLIVE is installed a standard set of Reports in each module, e.g. Creditors, Debtors, General Ledger, Asset Management and Cashbook Management, will be available for all Users to modify and run.
At the time of installation each User would have been provided with one Report Master Group for each module, giving them access to all Report Masters for all modules, including the ability to modify their associated Report Styles.
Functionality is available within FinancialsLIVE that will control access to Reports, including whether the Reports can be modified, so that only defined Users can access, run and modify certain Reports.
This can be done via Report Master Groups, which have to be created for each individual module. They specify the Report Masters that can be run in the module, as well as whether their associated Report Styles can be modified. All Report Master Groups are available for all Users but only one Report Master Group for each module can be added to individual Users.
For example, two Report Master Groups have been created for the Creditors module, e.g. the All Creditor Masters and Standard Creditor Report Masters, and are available to all Users. The relevant Report Master Group can be added to a User via the Report Master Group field on the CO User Company Module Maintenance form:
Please note: only one Report Master Group can be added to this field, i.e. the User can only have one Report Master Group (per module) in use any any one time. The CO User Company Module Maintenance form is further detailed in the Adding a Report Master Groups to Individual Users section.
The procedure to create and adding Report Master Groups is as follow:
The above procedure should be followed when creating Report Master Groups for any module.
