Bottom Fields Section

The bottom fields section on the AM Asset Types form, as detailed in the Maintaining Asset Types section, contains the following fields:

These are as follows (mandatory fields are notated with a red asterisk *):

• Revaluation Reserve: Two fields are available for the Revaluation Reserve, which is used for adjustments made to the value of Assets when they are revalued.  Revaluation of Assets are further detailed in the Revaluation section.

They are as follows:

• Cost Centre: A Cost Centre code will have been added to this field for the Revaluation Reserve and can be changed if required by adding a different Cost Centre Code.

The required Cost Centre code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Cost Centre Button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Revaluation Reserve Cost Centres form where the required Cost Centre can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Revaluation Reserve Cost Centre section.

• and Detail Code: A Detail Code may have been added to this field for the Revaluation Reserve and can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code added where the field is blank.

The required Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Revaluation Reserve Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Revaluation Reserve Detail Code section.

• Capital Adjustment Account: Two fields are available for the Capital Adjustment Account but this functionality is not currently used.

The fields are as follows:

• Cost Centre: As this functionality is not currently used and this field is a mandatory field the Cost Centre code in this field should be the same Cost Centre included in the Revaluation Reserve Cost Centre field, as detailed above.  This code can be changed but will have no affect as the functionality is not currently being used.
• and Detail Code: As this functionality is not currently being used, this field will be blank and should be left blank.
• Cost Centres for Disposals: A Cost Centre code may be included in this field to be used in place of the Revenue Cost Centre for the Asset for the revenue disposal postings for the Gain or Loss on Disposal and Disposal Proceeds.  It can be changed or removed, or a new Cost Centre added where this field is blank.

The required Cost Centre can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Cost Centre button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Cost Centres for Disposals form where the required Cost Centre can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Disposals Cost Centre section.

• Movement in Reserves: Two fields are available for the Movement on Reserves.  It is recommended that they are not used and left blank.

If they are to be used these are as follows

• Cost Centre: A Cost Centre code may be included in this field for the Movement in Reserves.  It can be changed, removed or a new Cost Centre added where this field is blank.  

The new Cost Centre Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Cost Centre Button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Movement in Reserves Cost Centres form where the required Cost Centre can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Movement in Reserves Cost Centre section.
