Revenue Detail Codes Fields Section

The Revenue Detail Codes Fields section on the AM Asset Types form, as detailed in the Maintaining Asset Types section, contains the following fields:

These are as follows:

• Acquisitions: A Detail Code will be included in this field to be used when an Asset Code that is being created is completed by adding an Acquisition transaction, which is further detailed in the Creating Assets section.  The original Capital Cost of the Asset when an Acquisition transaction is created will be posted to this Detail Code.

The Detail Code on this field can be changed if required by adding a different Detail Code to the field.

The Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field .  This will open the AM Find Acquisitions Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Acquisitions Detail Code section.

Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to create an Acquisition transaction for the Asset and this field is blank.

• Enhancements: Where a Detail Code has been added to this field enhancements to Assets that contains this Asset Type will be posted to this Detail Code.  This can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code can be added where the field is blank.

The required Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Enhancement Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Enhancements Detail Code section.

Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to create an enhancement for the Asset and this field is blank

• Depreciation Charge: Where a Detail Code has been added to this field Depreciation Charges on Assets that contains this Asset Type will be posted to this Detail Code.  This can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code can be added where the field is blank.

The Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Depreciation Charge Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Depreciation Charge Detail Code section.

Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to create an Depreciation Charge for the Asset and this field is blank.

• Gain on Revaluation: Where a Detail Code has been added to this field any revaluation gains on Assets that contains this Asset Type will be posted to this Detail Code.  This can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code can be added where the field is blank.

The Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Gain On Revaluation Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Gain on Revaluation Detail Code section.

Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to create a revaluation gain for the Asset and this field is blank.

• Loss on Revaluation: Where a Detail Code has been added to this field any revaluation loss on Assets that contains this Asset Type will be posted to this Detail Code.  This can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code can be added where the field is blank.

The Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Loss on Revaluation Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Loss on Revaluation Detail Code section.

Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to create a revaluation loss for the Asset and this field is blank.

• Gain on Disposal: Where a Detail Code has been added to this field any disposal gains on Assets that contains this Asset Type will be posted to this Detail Code.  This can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code can be added where the field is blank.

The Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Gain on Disposal Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Gain on Disposal Detail Code section.

Please note: an error message will be displayed when there is an attempt to dispose of the Asset where there would be a gain on the disposal and this field is blank.

• Loss on Disposal: Where a Detail Code has been added to this field any disposal losses on Assets that contains this Asset Type will be posted to this Detail Code.  This can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code can be added where the field is blank.

The Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Loss On Disposal Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Loss on Disposal Detail Code section.

Please note: an error message will be displayed when there is an attempt to dispose of the Asset where there would be a loss following disposal and this field is blank.

• Disposal Proceeds: Where a Detail Code has been added to this field any disposal proceeds on Assets that contains this Asset Type will be posted to this Detail Code - this will include the net amount for the loss and gains on disposal.  This can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code can be added where the field is blank.

Please note: an error message will be displayed when there is an attempt dispose of the Asset and there are disposal proceeds following disposal and this field is blank.

The Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Disposal Proceeds Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Disposal Proceeds Detail Code section.
