Amending Dashboard Charts

Charts included on Dashboards can be amended via the Business Intelligence Configuration form, which can be accessed by selecting the Business Intelligence option on the Financials Web Main Menu:

Then the DSH Business Intelligence Config menu option:

The Business Intelligence Configuration form will open displaying the Select Business Intelligence and Panel tab:

The Business Intelligence field will display the default Dashboard, which is the Dashboard that will normally be displayed by default on the Business Intelligence Home Page.  This Page is further detailed in the Viewing Dashboards section.

Ensure the required Dashboard is selected in the Business Intelligence field and the Chart that you wish to amend is selected in the Business Intelligence Panel field.

Three buttons are displayed to the right of the Business Intelligence Panel field:

• : Click on this button to add another Chart to the Dashboard, which is further detailed in the Adding Charts to a Dashboard section.
• : Click on this button to amend the Chart displayed in the Business Intelligence Panel field.  This will open the Setup Business Intelligence Panel tab:

The Chart will be displayed at the bottom of the form.  Clicking on certain areas in the Chart may provide more details as well a drill-down link to the relevant FinancialsLIVE enquiry facility, enabling any issues to be rectified immediately.  Please note: this functionality is not available on all Charts.

The following fields and options are displayed:

• Select a Chart - Enter part of the Menu Caption: The Chart displayed at the bottom of the form can be changed by clicking on the Find button located to the right of this field, , where a list of Chart options will be displayed:

Select a different Chart from this list, if required.

• Business Intelligence Name: This field will contain the name of the Dashboard the Chart is associated with and cannot be changed.
• Default Business Intelligence?: Where this option is selected, the Dashboard the Chart is associated with is the default Dashboard, i.e. the Dashboard that will normally be displayed by default on the Business Intelligence Home Page.  You will not be able to select or deselect this option - it is for information purposes only.
• Panel Name: This field will display the name of the Chart and can be changed, if required.
• Panel Description: This field may display a further description of the Chart and can be amended, added to or removed if required.  Where the field is blank details can be added.

Filter options will also be available:

These filters control how the information on the Chart is displayed and they may be different dependant on the Chart selected.  Filters are further detailed in the Chart Filters section.

The following buttons are available:

• : Clicking on this button will return you to the Select Business Intelligence and Panel tab and the Chart will not be changed.
• : Clicking on this button will return you to the Select Business Intelligence and Panel tab and the Chart will be amended.
• : Click on this button to remove the Chart from the Dashboard.

Clicking on the Business Intelligence link above the form:

Will take you directly to the Business Intelligence Home Page where Dashboards can be viewed and which is further detailed in the Viewing Dashboards section.
