Submit Return to HMRC

To submit the VAT Return to HMRC click on the  button on the GL VAT Return Header form, as detailed in the Creating VAT Returns section, when creating a new VAT Return, or click on this button on the GL VAT Return Header form, as detailed in the Amending/Viewing VAT Returns section when amending an existing VAT Return.

The following confirmation message will initially be displayed:

Clicking on the  button will not submit the Return to HMRC and return you to the GL VAT Return Header form, which will have no further changes.

Clicking on the  button will submit the Return information to HMRC and a read-only version of the GL VAT Return Header form will open with the following fields updated.
