Balance Sheet Detail Codes Fields Section

The Balance Sheet Detail Codes Fields section on the AM Asset Types form, as detailed in the Maintaining Asset Types section, contains the following fields:

These are as follows:

• Capital Cost: A Detail Code will be included in this field to be used when an Asset Code that is being created is completed by adding an Acquisition transaction, which is further detailed in the Creating Assets section.  The original Capital Cost of the Asset when an Acquisition transaction is created will be posted to this Detail Code.

The Detail Code on this field can be changed if required by adding a different Detail Code to the field.

The Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Capital Cost Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Capital Cost Detail Code section.

Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to create an Acquisition transaction for the Asset and this field is blank.

• Enhancements: Where a Detail Code has been added to this field enhancements to Assets that contains this Asset Type will be posted to this Detail Code.  This can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code can be added where the field is blank.

The  Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Enhancement Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Enhancements Detail Code section.

Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to enhance the Asset and this field is blank.

• Accumulated Depreciation: Where a Detail Code has been added to this field any accumulated depreciation of Assets that contains this Asset Type will be posted to this Detail Code.  This can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code added where the field is blank.

The Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Accumulated Depreciation Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Accumulated Depreciation Detail Code section.

Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to add accumulated depreciation to the Asset and this field is blank.

• Disposals: Where a Detail Code has been added to this field the disposal of an Asset that contains this Asset Type will be posted to this Detail Code.  This can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code can be added where the field is blank.

The Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Disposals Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Disposals Detail Code section.

Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to dispose of the Asset and this field is blank.

• Revaluation Upwards: Where a Detail Code has been added to this field any upward revaluation of Assets, including Impairment Reversals that contains this Asset Type will be posted to this Detail Code.  This can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code can be added where the field is blank.

The Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Revaluation Upwards Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field, .  This form is further detailed in the Find Revaluation Upwards Detail Code section.

Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to revalue the Asset upwards and this field is blank.

• Revaluation Downwards: Where a Detail Code has been added to this field any downward revaluation of Assets that contains this Asset Type will be posted to this Detail Code.  This can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code can be added where the field is blank.

The Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Revaluation Downwards Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Revaluation Downwards Detail Code section.

Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to revalue the Asset downwards and this field is blank.

• Impairments: Where a Detail Code has been added to this field any impairment of Assets that contains this Asset Type will be posted to this Detail Code.  This can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code can be added where the field is blank.

The Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Impairments Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Impairments Detail Code section.

Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to impair the Asset and this field is blank.

• Transfers Out: Where a Detail Code has been added to this field any posting of Transfer Out transactions on Assets that contains this Asset Type will be posted to this Detail Code.  This can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code can be added where the field is blank.

The Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Transfers Out Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Transfers Out Detail Code section.

Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to create a Transfers Out transaction for the Asset and this field is blank.

• Transfers In: Where a Detail Code has been added to this field any posting of Transfers In transactions on Assets that contains this Asset Type will be posted to this Detail Code.  This can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code can be added where the field is blank.

The Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Transfers In Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Transfers In Detail Code section.

Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to create a Transfers In transaction for the Asset and this field is blank.

• Asset Splits: Where a Detail Code has been added to this field any Assets that are split that contains this Asset Type will have the relevant transactions posted to this Detail Code.  This can be removed, changed or a new Detail Code added as required.

The Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Asset Split Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Asset Split Detail Code section.
