Reference Fields Section

The Reference Fields section of the AM Asset Types form, as detailed in the Maintaining Asset Types section, contains the following fields:

These are as follows (mandatory fields are notated with a red asterisk *):

• Reference fields/Label fields 1 to 5: There are 5 user defined reference fields and 5 corresponding label fields available.  These are used to specify 5 user defined fields for the Asset that has this Asset Type included.

Each of the 5 Reference fields will have one of the following options, which can be changed as required:

• Mandatory: Where this option is selected the field on the Asset will require a value to be added.
• Optional: Where this option is selected adding details on the the field on the Asset will be discretionary.
• Not Required: Where this option is selected the field will not appear on the Asset.

The corresponding label fields will include the name of the field that is displayed on the Asset and can be changed as required.
