Creating Detail Code Levels

Detail Code Levels are created via the GL Detail Code Dimensions form, which can be accessed by selecting the General Ledger option on the Financials menu:

Then the GL Maintenance menu option:

Then select the GL Detail menu option:

Then select the GL Detail Code Dimensions menu option:

The GL Detail Code Dimensions form will open and the top level of the Detail Code Dimensions structure will be displayed

Click on all the  buttons to fully open the structure:

This displays all the Levels within the structure - you will note that this is a hierarchical structure.

The Levels are broken down as follows:

• Level Number: This is the number of the Level, e.g. ,  etc.
• Description: This is the description of the Level, e.g. Asset Liability Inc Exp.

A Level at the top of the Dimensions structure can be created, which is further detailed in the Adding a Top Level section, or a sub-level can be added to an existing Level, as detailed in the Adding a Sub Level section.
