Adding a Top Level

To add a Level to the top of the Detail Code Dimension structure, click on the Detail Code Dimensions link at the top of the GL Detail Code Dimensions form:

A GL Detail Code Dimension Insertion form will open:

Add details t0 the following fields on the form (mandatory items are notated with a red asterisk *):

• Level: Add the Level number to this field.  Please note: this should be consistent with the Levels already created and allow room for sub Levels to be added.  In the above structure example, a top Level 20 has been added and includes sub Levels 21 to 23.  In this case it would be recommended that a new top Level with a number of 30 be added so that sub Levels 31, 32, 33 etc. can be added.  This also allows room for sub Levels to be added to Level 20, e.g. sub Levels 24 to 29.
• Description: Add a description of the Level to this field.

Click on the  button, then the  button.

You will be returned to the GL Details Code Dimension form and the new top Level will be added to the structure:

This new Level can now be added to the Detail Code Analysis hierarchy structure.  Adding Levels is further detailed in the Adding Detail Code Structure Levels section.
