Balance Sheet Detail Codes Fields Section

The Balance Sheet Detail Codes Fields section of the AM Asset Types form, as detailed in the Creating Asset Types section, contains the following fields:

These are as follows:

• Capital Cost: Add a Detail Code to this field - this will be needed when an Asset Code that is being created is being completed by adding an Acquisition transaction, which is further detailed in the Creating Assets section.  The original Capital Cost of the Asset when the Acquisition transaction is created will be posted to the Detail Code added to this field.  Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to create an Acquisition transaction for the Asset and this field is blank.

The required Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Capital Cost Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Capital Cost Detail Code section.

• Enhancements: Add a Detail Code to this field where Assets that have this Asset Type will or may have enhancements - the enhancement will be posted to this Detail Code.  Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to enhance the Asset and this field is blank.

The required Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Enhancement Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Enhancements Detail Code section.

• Accumulated Depreciation: Add a Detail Code to this field where Assets that have this Asset Type will or may have accumulated depreciation - these will then be posted to this Detail Code.  Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to add accumulated depreciation to the Asset and this field is blank.

The required Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Accumulated Depreciation Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Accumulated Depreciation Detail Code section.

• Disposals: Add a Detail Code to this field where Assets that have this Asset Type will or may be disposed - the disposal transaction will be posted to this Detail Code.  Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to dispose the Asset and this field is blank.

The required Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field,  .  This will open the AM Find Disposals Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Disposals Detail Code section.

• Revaluation Upwards: Add a Detail Code to this field where Assets that have this Asset Type will or may have an upward revaluation, including Impairment Reversals - the transactions for these will be posted to this Detail Code.  Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to revalue the Asset upwards or create an Impairment Reversal transaction for the Asset and this field is blank.

The required Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Revaluation Upwards Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Revaluation Upwards Detail Code section.

• Revaluation Downwards: Add a Detail Code to this field where Assets that have this Asset Type will or may have a downward revaluation - the downward transaction will be posted to this Detail Code.  Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to revalue the Asset downwards and this field is blank.

The required Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Revaluation Downwards Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Revaluation Downwards Detail Code section.

• Impairments: Add a Detail Code to this field where Assets that have this Asset Type will or may have an impairment - the impairment transaction will be posted to this Detail Code.  Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to create an impairment transaction for the Asset and this field is blank.

The required Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Impairments Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Impairments Detail Code section.

• Transfers Out: Add a Detail Code to this field where Assets that have this Asset Type will or may have a Transfers Out transaction - these will be posted to this Detail Code.  Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to create a Transfer Out transaction for the Asset and this field is blank.

The required Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Transfers Out Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Transfers Out Detail Code section.

• Transfers In: Add a Detail Code to this field where Assets that have this Asset Type will or may have a Transfers In transaction - these transactions will be posted to this Detail Code.  Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to create a Transfer In transaction for the Asset and this field is blank.

The required Detail Code can also be searched for and selected by clicking on the Find Detail Code button located to the right of this field, .  This will open the AM Find Transfers In Detail Codes form where the required Detail Code can be searched for and once selected will be added to this field.  This form is further detailed in the Find Transfers In Detail Code section.

• Asset Splits: Add a Detail Code to this field where Assets that have this Asset Type will or may be split - the relevant transactions will be posted to this Detail Code.  Please note: an error message will be displayed where there is an attempt to split the Asset and this field is blank.
