Matching Items

The Statement Lines and System Transactions displayed in the Grid can be matched by clicking in the Select column on the Grid for at least one Statement Lines item and at least one System Transaction item:

Alternatively clicking on the  button will select all the Statement Lines on Grid and clicking on the  button will select all the System Transactions on the Grid.  The items not to be matched can then be deselected, if required.

Where the filters have not been hidden, the total amount of the Statement Lines selected will be displayed in the Value Selected field on the Filter Statement section of the form and the total amount of the System Transactions selected will be displayed in the Value Selected field on the Filter System section of the form.  

Please note: in order for the items to be matched, the amounts in the total fields must be the same and both be either positive or negative, e.g. both have 200 or both have -200.

The total number of Statement Lines selected will be displayed in the Number Selected field on the Filter Statement section of the form and the total number of System Transactions selected will be displayed in the Number Selected field on the Filter System section of the form:

The selected item can be deselected by re-clicking on the tick box in the Select column for the relevant item so that it is no longer selected.  Alternatively if all selected items are to be deselected clicking on the  button will clear all the tick boxes in the Select column.

Once the required items have been selected, click on the  button and the CB Match Transaction form will open:

This form has the following fields (mandatory items are notated with a red asterisk *):

• Reason Code: Ensure the correct reason for the matching is selected from this drop down list.
• Comment: Add further details re the matching to this field if required.
• GL Posting Date: This is the date the matching will be posted to the General Ledger and can be changed if required,
• GL Year: Please ignore this field as the functionality is not being used.

Select the  button to cancel the match - the screen will close and you will be returned to the CB Manual Reconciliation form.

Click on the  button and the selected items will be matched - you will be returned to the CB Manual Reconciliation form and the items just matched will no longer be displayed in the Grid at the bottom of the form.
