Each Asset requires a Basis of Valuation, which provides details on how an Asset has been valued, e.g. Open Market Value, Existing Use Value, Historic Cost, and is for information purposes only/
The Basis of Valuation is added to the Asset Type that is subsequently included in an Asset when it is created. Asset Types are further detailed in the Asset Types section.
Basis of Valuations are created on the AM Control Data Maint form, which can be accessed via the AM Control Data form.
Select the Financials option on the Financials Web Main Menu:
Then select the Financials Admin menu option:
Then select the Assets Admin menu option:
Then select the AM Control Data menu option:
The AM Control Data form will open:
Select the drop-down on the Control Data Type field and a list of options will be available for selection:
Select the Basis of Valuation option and click on the button. A Grid will be displayed at the bottom of the form that includes all the current Basis of Valuation:
Click on the button to create a new Basis of Valuation.
The AM Control Data Maint form will open:
The fields and options on this form are as follows (mandatory items are notated with a red asterisk *):
Once the Basis of Valuation is created the number will appear in the Grid on the AM Control Data form:
Where the Order field on the AM Control Maint form is left blank when the Basis of Valuation is created it will automatically be populated with 0 (zero).
