Adding Cost Centres

Cost Centres are added to the Levels in the Cost Centre Analysis hierarchy structure via the GL Cost Centre Maintenance form, which can be accessed by selecting the General Ledger option on the Financials menu:

Then the GL Maintenance menu option:

Then select the GL Cost Centre menu option:

Then the GL Cost Centre Maintenance menu option:

The GL Cost Centre Maintenance form will open:

Add the relevant Cost Centre code to the Cost Centre field and click on the  button.

Alternatively you can search for and select the required Cost Centre by clicking on the Find Cost Code button next to this field: .  This will open a GL Find Cost Centre form, which is further detailed in the Find Cost Centres section.

The Cost Centre details will then be loaded onto the GL Cost Centre Maintenance form.

To add the Cost Centre to click on the  button.

A Line will be added to an Analysis Codes tab on a Grid that will be displayed at the bottom of the form

In the Level column of the Line add the Level the Cost Centre is to be added to.

Alternatively you can search for and select the required Level by clicking on the Find Analysis Level button to the right of this field:

This will open the GL Find Cost Levels form, which is further detailed in the Find Cost Levels section.

The details of the Level will be added to the new Line on the Grid:

In the Analysis Code column of the new Line add the Analysis Code for the Level.  This needs to be added separately as there may be multiples of the same Level available, which can be identified by their Analysis Code.

Alternatively you can search and select the required Analysis Code by clicking on the Find Analysis Code button to the right of this field:

This will open the GL Find Cost Analysis form, which is further detailed in the Find Cost Analysis section.

The details of the Analysis Code for the Level will be added to the Line in the Grid:

Click on the  button to save the change - the full set off Levels will be added to the Analysis Codes tab on the Grid, e.g. in the above example Level 1 to Level 5 will all be included.

The Cost Centre has now been added to the Level.
